Help for a Loved One
Addiction affects the entire family. At Greenbriar, we recognize the need to involve loved ones in the recovery process to learn about addiction and codependency. Many family members don't understand why their loved one won't just quit using drugs or alcohol, despite the negative consequences. At all levels of care, we offer a family program to help you navigate the road to recovery with your loved one. If you would like to speak to an Admissions Specialist about your loved one, please call 1-800-637-HOPE (4673).
Help for Yourself
If you have been considering professional counseling for a problem with drugs or alcohol, don't wait any longer. Shame and guilt keep many people from taking the first step and calling for help. Recovery is possible and happens every day! Please call to speak to one of our Admissions Specialists at 1-800-637-HOPE (4673).
Help for an Employee
1 in 10 people in the workplace are alcoholic or addicted to other drugs. Substance use costs employers billions of dollars per year in the United States. Worse than the financial costs are the loss of lives due to the disease of addiction. If you are an employer interested in a Supervisory Training or would like us to help you with a Drug & Alcohol policy, please contact Judy Shannon at (724) 413-5716.
In order to meet the ever-growing need for treatment options, Greenbriar
built a brand new, state of the art, Detox building in 2014. We offer a comfortable, medically safe
program for people suffering from Opiate Addiction, Alcoholism, and a variety of other drugs of abuse. Our
new building is over 8000 square feet offering a quiet environment for 14 patients to focus on the initial phase of their treatment.

45. Complacent Me Here
“You never rest, do you?” Morgan asked.
“I’m afraid to stop moving,” Quinn said. “My daddy was Army. He used to say ‘Complacent me here to help you fail. Get it? Like complacent sent me, but you get rid of the second ‘sent.’ My old man had a thousand sayings, but that was his favorite. He’d been everywhere, seen everything, Used to say ‘rest on your laurels long enough and you’ll discover they’re really poison ivy.’”
“He sounds like a lot of fun,” another new guy, Holton, said, dripping sarcasm.
“He truly was,” Quinn said. “And he was never complacent about looking after people. His soldiers, his wife, his kids – we all knew he was figuring on ways to motivate us, make us better, happier, more productive.”
Our mission since 1985 has been to provide quality Chemical Dependency and Dual treatment to the clients we serve.
Many people suffering from addiction may also be living with Depression, Anxiety, or Bipolar Disorder. Greenbriar Treatment Center is one of the few licensed Dual Diagnosis facilities in Southwestern Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh area.
We have seasoned professionals to diagnose and treat co-occuring disorders of addiction and mental health concerns at the Inpatient Rehab level of care. If you do not address both illnesses at the same time, it is very difficult to achieve recovery.
Our team of Therapists, Psychiatric Nurse Specialists and Psychiatrist will work diligently to provide the most effective treatments available.
November 11th Fundraiser for Operation Troop Appreciation
In partnership with the Meadville Medical Center Health System, we were able to raise over $800 for Operation Troop Appreciation http://operationtroopappreciation.org/.
Greenbriar Treatment Center would like to thank Meadville Medical Center on their generous donation of time, space, food, and money! Specifically, we appreciate the thoughtfulness of Kenlo McGowan, Don Rhoten, and Jackie Lesher from the MMC Foundation.
Thanks also to all who attended and contributed to this worthy cause. We hope to see you at a future event to raise funds for the brave men and women serving our country.
