Get Help for a Loved One

Addiction is a devastating disease that affects the entire family. That is why Greenbriar Treatment Center believes in helping loved ones as well as the addict/alcoholic. Once a week at all of our locations, we offer a family day for loved ones to come and meet with a therapist and participate in group discussion. The following is a list of behaviors/patterns to help the family member identify if a loved one has a problem. Please feel free to call Greenbriar with any questions or to make an appointment for someone you love.

How do you know if a loved one has a problem?

  • Using too much or too often
  • Personality changes when under the influence
  • Missing work because of their use
  • Missing family functions because of their use
  • Hiding alcohol/drugs
  • Stealing to have money to use
  • Trouble with the law due to use
  • Avoiding family and friends
  • Lying about their use of alcohol/drugs
  • Breaking promises to quit using
