Romaine Recker, M.A., MS.Ed., NCC
Chemical Dependency Therapist

I have been a Chemical Dependency Therapist for Greenbriar Treatment Center since 2002. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from Mercyhurst College with a major in Criminal Justice. Both of my Graduate Degrees were received from Duquesne University, a Master of Arts Degree (MA) in Sociology and a Master of Science in the School of Education (M.S.Ed.) in Community Counseling. I am a member of Chi Sigma Iota, which is a national honor society for counseling professionals. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) - a distinction that necessitated rigorous academic credentialing and testing and requires obtaining on-going continuing education trainings and/or courses to maintain this credential.

My desire to work with others extends to my volunteer activities that include literacy awareness and working in various therapeutic support staff positions with senior adults. Admitting to a chemical dependency is not always easy. However, know that you are never alone in your recovery journey. The staff at Greenbriar is committed to your overall recovery health and those of us in recovery know the struggles will be well worth the effort.
