I started my career in the computer field during college with a brief semester internship at a software development company called Ansys. It was there that I decided that I really enjoyed helping people with computer problems and that it was a field I could excel at. Shortly before I graduated from college, I was hired by a company called Within Technology as an evening Technical Support agent providing technical support for the Internet Service Providing (ISP) part of their company. After several years, I was promoted to the lead Tech Support agent for the ISP. Sometime in 1999, Within Technology was purchased by Qualcomm Inc. It was at that, I got even move involved with the billing responsibilities of the ISP. I also did some beta testing for software called Eudora. In 2001, my business partner and I purchased the ISP from Qualcomm and re-named the ISP to GreenePA Inc. We ran the ISP offering Dial-up, ISDN, DSL and web hosting to the residents of Greene County, Pennsylvania.
At Greenbriar, I have been able to focus more business oriented network issues, rather than wide-area networking issues. I have found the work to not only be challenging at times, but fun and rewarding as well. I started working at Greenbriar in 1995 part-time as a Receptionist/4-12 Tech/Midnight guy filling in whenever I could as I worked through college. I started full-time in 2006 as the I.T. Manager. The thing I like best about working at Greenbriar is the Staff. You will never meet a group of people more funny, laid back, and above all, caring than the ones who work here.
