Greenbriar Treatment Center has a full continuum of care to assist the chemically dependent individual on their road to recovery through individualized treatment programming. An admissions therapist will conduct a preliminary assessment to determine the most appropriate level of care in which to begin the treatment process.
Greenbriar provides comprehensive, innovative and compassionate residential programs for individuals suffering with addiction. Our unique drug and alcohol rehabilitation program uses a multi-disciplinary approach to drug and alcohol rehabilitation, with a team of addiction professionals including licensed and certified counselors, board certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists, medical doctors and a broad range of nurses, nursing assistants, and psychiatric nurses who specialize in addiction, alcoholism and dual diagnosis, and other highly trained and credentialed professionals who collaborate to guide each resident through a thorough diagnosis, individualized addiction treatment and aftercare.
A specific criterion is established for each program and level of care. Clients will be moved throughout the continuum as progress dictates. Treatment options may include:
Washington Site Only
The purpose of detoxification allows the client to safely withdraw from alcohol and/or drugs in a medically managed environment. The entire process is supervised by Dr. John Six, Medical Director and Greenbriar’s highly qualified staff physicians. A staff of registered nurses is available twenty-four hours a day to ensure that the utmost care is given.
The client is assigned a therapist during the medically monitored phase of treatment to provide counseling and support to assist with the detoxification process by answering any questions and or concerns that the client may have. Once the client attains the appropriate level of treatment, he/she may participate in group therapies as well.
Greenbriar Treatment Center does offer Suboxone as an option for clients suffering from opioid dependency. Suboxone is given throughout detoxification and is not used as a maintenance program.
Dual Diagnosis Program
Greenbriar Treatment Center’s Dual Diagnosis Program is designed to treat individuals that suffer from chemical dependencies accompanied by mental health issues. Our master’s level therapists and psychiatric nurses collaborate to assist in a positive recovery program. Dr. John Six, Medical Director and Dr. Nicholas Carosella lead the way to an optimistic treatment program. Individualized care is provided to each client on the basis of psychiatric consultations, individual and group therapies, along with psychological testing. Vital educational components within this program are presented through medication management, living with a dual disorder and the maintenance of a continued support system. Clients receive a well balanced treatment based on the principles of the 12-Step program combined with family educational sessions. Just as no two individuals are 100% alike, Greenbriar realizes that no treatment plan should be either. Each treatment plan is custom tailored to fit the individual needs and characteristics of each resident.

The Lighthouse for Women and The Lighthouse For Men
Greenbriar Treatment Center is a pioneer in the treatment of individuals with substance/chemical abuse issues that are complicated by mental health issues. Through trial and error and ineffective long-term follow-up for Greenbriar’s dually-diagnosed clients, Greenbriar Treatment Center realized the need for development of half-way houses to better serve the clients that have attained their initial treatment goals.
The Lighthouse staff members are specialists in the treatment of dually-diagnosed individuals and each treatment plan is individualized to meet the needs of recovery. Upon discharge, Greenbriar Treatment Center has the expectation of understanding and acceptance of the individualized diagnoses, as well as, acquiring the skills essential to care for those needs in the home environment. Greenbriar understands the agony of failure so before our clients start off on another goal and end up in the same position, we help them take a small, but powerful step in helping themselves by choosing to let Greenbriar Treatment Centers travel the path of success with each and every client, through each and every step.
The Lighthouse for Women and the Lighthouse for Men completes the full circle of continual care for dually-diagnosed women and men. Greenbriar Treatment Centers want to convey to their communities that we are a well established facility that offers a full range of services in their own backyard.
