Detox Program Schedule
What to Expect
WAKING-UP
Monday through Friday, patients wake up at 6:30 a.m., and at 7:00a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Patients are required to shower, dress, and clean their rooms promptly before breakfast.
BREAKFAST AND DAY PREPARATION
Breakfast is served at 7:30am. Afterwards, patients will complete their community and clean-up responsibility. A “Mayor” is assigned to oversee and designate the community chores.
What to Expect
Every other day is split between a morning meditation or free time. Free time for patients can be used to complete hygiene, laundry, or to meet with treatment staff individually.

Tuesday and Thursday is Nursing Education Group: Nursing will provide specific education and answer questions pertinent to patients in detox Other days are a formal group meeting and discussion held
in the group room. A check in with patients to find out how they are feeling while in detox, and discussion about what to expect in detox and early recovery.

Lunch will be provided every day at between 11:30a.m. – 1:30p.m.

A formal group meeting and discussion is held each day in the group room. At this meeting we will check in with the patients, discuss any issues/concerns, and provide education on topics related to early drug and alcohol recovery and the stages of change.
What to Expect
Free time is a period of the day where the patients are able to enjoy as they please. Recreational activities such as the Fitness Room, Sport Court, Walking Trail and Challenge Course are available to be utilized during designated times, or as structured group activities at the direction of your therapist.

Community meetings include announcements for the day and provide act as an open form for any patient to voice their opinions, comments, or concerns they may have. We hold these meetings, so we, collectively, can be more supportive of each other during the inpatient treatment day.
What to Expect
Dinner will be provided every day at between 4:30p.m. - 6:00p.m. Patients that finish dinner early can enjoy the remaining time as free time.
What to Expect
This meeting occurs Tuesdays and Saturdays. The Mayors of the Rehab Community will meet with all detox patients in the dining room to talk about their experiences with rehab, answer questions, and help patients to feel more comfortable about making the transition into the inpatient program.
What to Expect
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and Cocaine Anonymous (CA) 12-step recovery groups; Hospitals and Institutions (H & I) committees send representatives to address the patient community at Greenbriar Treatment Center on a weekly basis. The purpose of the H & I group is to share information about the benefits of 12-step fellowship to those in recovery from chemical dependency. Patients may attend outside 12 Step recovery meetings as assigned by their individual therapist.

Free time is a period of the day where the patients are able to enjoy as they please. Recreational activities such as the Fitness Room, Sport Court, Walking Trail and Challenge Course are available to be utilized during designated times, or as structured group activities at the direction of your therapist.
What to Expect
Patients are to return to their rooms and be in their room by 11:20pm.
What to Expect
All patients must be in their rooms by 11:20p.m., and the lights will be turned off at midnight.
